Elmfield Leadership Team
| Peter Oyugi

|
The senior leader at Elmfield Church is Peter Oyugi. Peter was born in Homa-Bay, a small town on the shores of Lake Victoria in Kenya. He became a Christian whilst at Secondary School when two older boys in the school helped him explore the truths of the claims of Christ and he discovered he too could have a relationship with Christ.
Peter studied Electrical & Communications Engineering at Moi University, Kenya and then worked for several years with the Fellowship of Christian Unions (FOCUS) in Kenya helping university and college students investigate the Christian faith. Peter got involved in cross-cultural mission work in the UK serving in St. Luke’s Church, Thurnby, Leicestershire and with the Universities and Colleges Christian Fellowship (UCCF) in London.
He is married to Cecilia and they have two daughters Purity and Catherine. They come to Elmfield with a passion to share the good news of Jesus and to be involved in community life in North Harrow. As a family they love meeting and hosting people from every nation of the world and from all age groups. In Peter’s words, “There is so much richness in the diversities that God has created us to have and enjoy.” |

I grew up in Belgium, home of many good beers, of mussels and chips, of good chocolate and of even a few famous people.
I decided to follow Christ in my teens. Since then he has shown himself to be totally dependable, even through times of personal crisis and failure. I am very grateful for the amazing power of his Spirit in my life, and I want others to experience this too.
I am married to Rachel and we have a lovely young daughter and an amazing son. Having settled in this area in 2004, we wanted to find a church within walking distance of our home, so that we could become part of an active local Christian community. The welcome at Elmfield was very warm, so we decided to stay!
In my day-job, I am a chaplain at an immigration detention centre. |

Keith was seduced into Elmfield by the love of a good woman over 27 years ago. Thanks to that dear lady he now has two reasonably grown up daughters. "It can't be all bad because I'm still here!" Is that church or daughters - or both?
By day a service engineer visiting hospital laboratories, his other interests include real ale, barn dances, "Dad" jokes and bagpipe music; which says something about the breadth of God's love and grace.

Brian joined Elmfield in 1981 with his parents, having become a Christian as a youngster a few years earlier. he is married to Helen (whom he met when he joined Elmfield) and they have 4 doughters, Rachel, Bethany, Caithlin and Madeleine.
Throughout his years at Elmfield Brian has increasingly appreciated the love and strength of God, demonstrated so much by the people within the church.
Brian runs a consultancy business in business strategy and operational excellence following 20 years of climbing the ladder and leadership in various sectors. He thoroughly enjoys tennis, football (a huge Man Utd fan) and travelling. His favourite place is San Francisco. |
