Activities for Older Folk - Holiday at Home

Holiday at Home took place this year on four lovely warm, sunny days in mid June. It was good to see some holiday makers return from previous years and to see some new faces too.

Our accommodation was at Elmfield. We were able to decorate the church with posters to fit the
‘holiday’ theme.

The holiday was advertised as’ a four day Christian break, without the fuss of travelling away from home’. The days were packed with entertainment, crafts, talks, an outing, delicious food and the odd moment for a snooze. Short devotional talks on our attitudes were challenging in their Gospel content for older believers both young and old in their faith.

The holiday concluded after Morning Service on Sunday morning with Lunch at a local church. We had an excellent final meal together.
